About 6 months ago I was contacted from a lovely lady in the UK for a little assistance with their reaffirmation. Kerry and Nestor were married two years ago in South America with Nestor’s family and now they had decided they wanted a small affair with Kerry’s family in Australia. What started off to be a little bit of help with a couple of suppliers ended up being a tad more than that and after Kerry had secretly arranged for other friends from the US, Spain and UK to join them I had the task of finding them things to do on their short stay that would ensure they got to have a taste of Australia and not just where they were staying. I found Redair Tours, whom were fantastic. They designed a great schedule for the guests, taking them from Maleny to Currumbin, including a show at The Outback Spectacular and a River Cruise. By all reports everyone enjoyed all of the tours. So thank you to Rebecca from Redair! I even did a little shopping for the guests to ensure they had the essentials when they arrived and could have a bit of breakfast without having to go to the shops on their first day here. Oh and arranged a tennis session for Nestor. So as you can see, being a Wedding Planner doesn’t only involve weddings. The day went beautifully, using most of my normal suppliers I had no doubt it wouldn’t. So thank you to all of you for your fantastic customer service. Thank you also to Kerry & Nestor for choosing Brisbane Wedding Planners to assist with your special day. It was a pleasure to meet with you both and I wish you all the happiness and good health for the future - wherever that may be! Oh and Kerry, you looked stunning! Thank you to Stephania for the invite to their new shop opening at; Hilde Heim Designer Bride and Cocktail The evening kicked off with Champers and Asia singing jazz, followed by an odd but amazing theatrical show from Zen Zen Zo (definitely a different experience, very similar to the show they have on at the Zen Bar in the city) and finished up with a fashion show from the collections of Hilde Heim Designer Bride & Cocktail. I must say they have some beautiful gowns and I love the materials used. Unfortunately my photos don’t do them justice so please visit their website for far better ones, or even better give them a call to book an appointment and say I sent you.
Last night I had the pleasure of attending the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Masquerade Ball held at Brisbane City Hall. This was one of the last few events to be held at the City Hall before it closes for restorations for a massive 3 years of intensive care. Another great email I received with a link to YouTube and an extremely humourous video of the Quickest Wedding Ever! This wedding involved both assistance with the lead up to and on the day co-ordination and I would like to say Thank You to Elisa & Davor for the opportunity to work with such a beautiful couple and a great group of friends and family. Their wedding went with a theme of Black & White in a beautiful silk lined marquee, with black chandeliers, set in the surrounds of a manor.
